Enrollment
Comprehensive tower service for turnarounds and shutdowns. Every turnaround carries risks and surprises. It is all the more important that you prepare yourself as best you can and evaluate all available information.
This includes of course the as-built drawings but also inspection protocols of previous shutdowns. During the turnaround, we provide the appropriate spare parts (consignment stock as container or locker) and also provides know-how by our stock administrators and inspectors.
They help you to document the state of the tower internals and advise you on necessary actions. Our team combines a great deal of experience with the various designs of internals of all suppliers with process engineering know-how of tower internals.
Enrollment with Tower Explorer
The work usually begins many weeks before the shutdown. Based on the part lists, internals and general arrangement drawings, we analyze all parts and fasteners used. This information is stored in the TowerExplorer tower database and is the basis for the provision of spare parts. Over the past years, we have recorded thousands of towers in the software.
The analysis of the drawings initially includes a check for completeness (are all referenced drawings available, are the details complete?). This is followed by working out the type and number of fasteners used (bolts, washers, nuts, clamps, wedges …), gasketing (washers, bands, gasket plates …) and contact elements (cage valves, float valves, bubble caps, proprietary elements …).
The fasteners – if functionally possible – are assigned to standards. All contact elements are recorded accurately in terms of process engineering parameters (valve lift heights, valve weights, curtain/skirt areas, slot numbers …).
All enrolled components are assigned to one of the categories DECK (panels), DC (downcomer boltings at tower attachments), VALVE (all types of contact elements), SR (support ring), MW (manway), GASKET MW (gaskets for manways) or GASKET.
The material excerpt with fixed quotas for the considered plant components then leads to a material list for the assembly of the consignment stock.
