Float valves (valves with legs or caged valves)

By adapting the open area to the gas load through lifting the valve plate the operating area (load range) of this tray type is rather huge. By using different valves weights on a tray, you can even increase this operating area.

MV1-Valve

MV-valve (in copper)
different valve weights

The V-valve (round floating valve with 3 legs) is the most common valve. The V-valves-types differ in weight, leg length, diameter, initial lift, shape, anti-spin. Please refer to Spare Parts (valves) for detail iniformation.

MT-valve

MT-valve tray
Blocked MT-valves

The MT-valve is a caged valve. It consists of a valve cage (4 legs) ans a valve plate. The valve plate is available in different weights and with/without initial lift.

MA3-valve

MA-valves in Zirconium

The MA3-valve type differs from the MT-valve mainly in the cage shape. The MA3 cage can be fabricated in special alloys as Titanium and Zirconium.

MV4, MT4 and MA4-valves

MV4-valve (view from below)

The class-4 valves are pressure drop optimized types. There is a venturi orifice in the tray panel.

MA1-valve

Double disk valve MA1

The MA1-valve is a double-disk type. In the first step the gas lifts the orifice cover. In the second step the orifice cover and the ballast plate and the orifice cover are lifted. The operating range of this valve is rather huge.
